Anxiety usually presents itself with some of the following symptoms:
· tightness in the chest
· difficulty breathing
· shaking, body tingling
· heart racing
· or generally a feeling or belief something bad is going to happen.
It can feel like you are about to take your driving test or jump out of an aeroplane.
If you have just started having these feelings or if they have been present for a long time, anxiousness is seldom welcome in our lives. These waves of feelings that can often lead to panic attacks can come from nowhere with no reason or warning.
My counselling involves altering thoughts to diminish the effects of anxiety and to gain control to self-manage them in the future. Stress is often a factor too.
We all have the capacity to manage anxiety – it’s a matter of finding the best method of psychology that works for you.
